I hear about the feminist marches, where women in America believe they are oppressed.  I hear these things as I am surrounded by women who have acid burns on their bodies.  Where they have HIV and AIDS from being raped so much.  Where they have had their genitals mutilated.  Where they have had their families murdered, and body parts cut off.  Where the main belief is that they are meant for no more than cooking, cleaning and bearing children.  Yet when you talk to these women, they are some of the happiest women you will meet.  Women who have forgiven.  Women who are just happy to be alive.  Women who love deeply.  Women who have such a deep faith and love that it is incredibly surprising and inspiring.  I am surrounded by women who are actually oppressed, but they still thrive.

Thanks for reading!
