Havre, Mt

Todays devotional was all about the metaphors and such of our lives, how we see our lives.  Whether a roller coaster, a race, a journey, etc.  The couple metaphors that were discussed that shows God’s view of our lives is our life is a test and our life is a trust.  Life is a test is just what it sounds like, that everything that happens in this life is a test that prepares us and helps determine our character and where we are going in the next life.  The second aspect was that life is a trust, that everything is a gift from God and we need to be good stewards of everything that he gives us.  It was a very good devotional day because it is easy to forget how all the little and big decisions we make are all tests and to not take any of them lightly.  Then with life is a trust, that everything is a gift from God that we need to steward, this is so important because so often we let our talents, dreams and so many other things go to waste.  That is not what God intends, when we are talented in something he wants to see us progress and use those talents.  The dreams that we have are so often God implanted dreams that fit into the plan he has for our lives.  A very good devotional indeed.

Today I didn’t have work, which was nice to relax.  I ended up spending a lot of time listening to the audiobook I’m listening to.  I went on our Good Friday walk of the cross through town.  It was almost hard in a weird way, it brought back a lot of good memories of the walk of the cross in Ireland.  Which is nice, it just made me miss everyone I was thinking about.  Besides that I didn’t really do too much today, my brother came into town and we spent the evening watching movies, which was nice.  My friend and I went to walmart and after we realized we hadn’t shared the gospel with anyone, and we probably should have.  Things to work on.

I ate my prescribed meal plan for the day without much deviation, which I was very happy with.  Weekends are usually when diets get thrown out the window, so I just need to make it through each of these days, I can’t get to day 40 without day 5.

The day was definitely relaxing and overall successful, so I am happy about that.

That’s really all for today!

Thanks for reading!

God bless you!

Jesus loves you!
