Today’s devotional was all about worship, it came down to the heart of worship being surrender. Surrender to God, but that in order to surrender to God we have to know him and trust him. In order to surrender to God it takes activity on our part. One thing I really liked was it talked about the initial moment of surrender that we all have to have. Then there is the daily act of surrender. We may have to surrender certain things we want many times throughout the day, but we have to do whatever it takes to get our hearts surrendered to God’s will.
Today’s verse: Proverbs 17:28 (ESV) “Even a fool who is silent is considered wise, when he closes his lips he is deemed intelligent.”
I had today off of work and I mostly just rested, I took the dog for a walk for the first time in a long time. I went to a men’s bible study at the college, which was nice. I had some intense cravings for sugar afterwards, but I was able to get myself to head to bed instead.
I was very pleased with today as I had a lot of free time, sometimes that can provide a lot of room for temptations, but today went well. Any temptation that did come I was able to combat with turning my eyes towards what God says about me.
The day was great, I can’t get to day 40 without day 10!
Thanks for reading!
God bless you!
