Today’s devotional was all about us becoming more and more like Jesus. It happens overtime through the renewing of our minds and the picking up of our crosses. We have to honor God in our choices in each moment of each day.
Today’s verse: Deuteronomy 30:16 (ESV): “If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I command you today, by loving the Lord your God, by walking in his ways, and by keeping his commandments and his statutes and his rules, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to take possession of it.” (I didn’t memorize this one)
Today was a fantastic day! Work went super well, which I was stoked about. I found out that my 92 year old girlfriend is actually 94… I’ve been lied to this whole time. Now I’m questioning that she might actually be too old for me…
As far as eating, my eating went quite perfectly. I did intermittent fasting today, where I ended up eating just one meal. But one thing I did that I hadn’t done in the past when I had done the same thing, is that on the meals I was skipping, I was taking most of that time to pray and meditate on God. I found it to be far more refreshing than consuming food and I also found myself not going wild with my one meal when it came time to eat it, which is a massive difference by itself.
After work I had some people over and we had a worship/prayer time, it was really cool because the whole group was young people and it was great to see the community aspect come into play. I got used to good community when in YWAM, but I’ve found in real life it takes a lot more work to make it happen. So it was encouraging to see this happen.
Anyway, today was great!
Thanks for reading!
God bless you!
